Origins and attitudes
FAO has reported three distinct types of Indian donkeys: Indian, Indian wild and Kiang.
Wild Indian donkeys are found in the state of Gujarat (western India), the Kiang breed is bred in Sikkim (northeastern India) and Laddakh ((north India). Indian donkeys are bred in all Indian states.
There are your types of Indian donkeys: one of a large size (light gray almost white) and another of a smaller size (more common, with a dark gray coat with brown spots).

It has a brown-red brown coat with large white areas under the neck and in the lower part of the body.
